Fifth Street Reopens After Downed Power Lines

(July 28, 2016) UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: All impacted roads have reopened. All evacuations have been lifted. Oncor remains on scene repairing the impacted poles.

PREVIOUS: Fifth Street in Downtown Frisco is currently closed between Main Street and Oak Street.

At 8:40 a.m. Frisco Dispatch was alerted to a trash truck that had struck the utility lines in while picking up a dumpster. First fire unit arrived on scene 8:46 a.m.

Upon arrival units found four utility poles that had been affected. As a precaution, four businesses were evacuated until the power could be disconnected.

Businesses on Main Street between Second Street and Sixth Street are without power.

Oncor is on scene.
