(August 31, 2016) Blue Star Land today announced FM Global as the newest tenant that will work out of The Star, also home of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters that opened in July 2016.
The commercial property insurance company will occupy the largest amount of Class-A commercial space at The Star, with the new Frisco hub taking up over 79,000 square feet across floors 5 and 6, including that tower’s entire top floor. The Star includes 398,000 square feet of Class A commercial office space that spans 8 floors, including a 2-story, underground parking garage.
Established nearly 200 years ago, FM Global is a multi-national, mutual insurance company whose capital, scientific research capability and engineering expertise are solely dedicated to property risk management and the resilience of its client-owners.
As the Dallas Cowboys provider of both its property and builders risk insurance, FM Global has a long-standing business connection to the team and the Jones’ family-owned real estate firm, Blue Star Land.
“FM Global’s move to The Star is an exciting next step in the progression of both our company and of our relationship with the Jones Family,” said Kevin Bradshaw, Senior Vice President and Western Division Manager, FM Global. “This new office space will allow us to best serve our clients and attract top talent by being part of such an impressive facility.”
The move will bring over 300 of FM Global’s employees, most from their current offices in Plano, to offices alongside the Dallas Cowboys business and football operations in June 2017.
“Seeing the commercial space at The Star being filled with our existing business partners like FM Global is both rewarding and humbling,” said Stephen Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Blue Star Land. “Knowing that we will share the Dallas Cowboys new headquarters with faces and companies that are so intimately familiar to us makes this project even more special.”
The Star is the World Headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys situated on a 91-acre mixed-used development featuring shopping, dining, nightlife, athletic, fitness, event and hotel options, as well as a sports therapy and research campus. The multi-million dollar facility houses Dallas Cowboys business and football operations and hosts team practices.
Commercial office space at The Star was designed by Gensler and limited space is still available via Lincoln Property Company (214-740-3300). The Cowboys will continue to announce additional tenants within The Star in the coming months.
