Traffic switch at Preston Road & US 380 on Monday, January 9

(January 9, 2017)  Traffic will be switched at the intersection of Preston Road and US 380 on Monday, January 9 as part of the TxDOT widening project. Traffic using the SH 289 (Preston Road) ramps to turn onto or off of US 380 will be switched from the old asphalt ramps to the new concrete ramps. Traffic on US 380 needs to be aware the Preston Road ramps will now connect to US 380 in different locations. This means that the traffic signals, turn lanes, and stop lines along US 380 will be in different locations on both sides of the Preston Road overpass.

All motorists at the intersection of Preston Road and US 380 should pay special attention to the new location of traffic signals, turn lanes, and stop lines and are urged to use caution in the construction zone as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns.
