New Section of Coit Road Now Open North of Panther Creek Pkwy; New Traffic Signal on Coit Road

(February 17, 2017) A new section of Coit Road has been opened to traffic today between Panther Creek Parkway and Rockhill Parkway. This will make Coit Road a new continuous route between US 380 and SH 121.

Opening the road involved switching traffic on Coit Road as it crosses through the Rockhill Parkway/Virginia Parkway intersection. North and southbound traffic on Coit Road had been sharing the east half of the road but traffic was switched so north and southbound traffic are now traveling on opposite sides of the median. Motorists at the intersection of Coit Road and Rockhill Parkway/Virginia Parkway should pay special attention to the new location of turn lanes and stop lines.

Motorists on Panther Creek Parkway and Westridge Boulevard should pay special attention to the intersection with Coit Road where traffic will now be coming from a new direction and a new traffic signal has been activated.
