(June 8, 2017) Various roads will be closed near Toyota Stadium before and after the Jimmy Buffett Concert on Saturday, June 10, as described below. Click here to see map.
Before the Concert:
World Cup Way will be closed between Main Street and Technology Drive starting at 12:00 noon. The general parking lots on the west side of the stadium will already be full by that time and so concert goers who arrive on Saturday will be directed to park in other areas. Only motorists with Gold or Platinum parking passes will be allowed to turn north onto World Cup Way to enter their reserved parking lot. World Cup Way will reopen to through traffic at about midnight.
After the Concert:
The following roads will be closed starting at 9:30 p.m. and should be open again at about midnight. Motorists driving towards the stadium may need to take an alternate route during these road closures.
- Eastbound Main Street will be closed between Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway
- Eastbound Cotton Gin Road will be closed between Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway
- Westbound Cotton Gin Road will be closed at Dallas Parkway
- Southbound Frisco Street will be closed between Sports Village Road and Main Street
During these closures, traffic heading east on Main Street should use Legacy Drive to reach either Eldorado Parkway or Stonebrook Parkway to continue eastward. Frisco Square can then be reached by using Dallas Parkway. Traffic heading west on Main Street will experience delay near the stadium and so westbound through traffic should also consider using Eldorado Parkway or Stonebrook Parkway as alternate routes.
Concert Parking Exit Routes:
To minimize congestion after the concert, exit routes from Toyota Stadium and Frisco Square will be limited in order to reduce the points where traffic flows try to cross each other (see attached map). Depending on where they park, concert goers will be directed onto eastbound or westbound Main Street or north to Eldorado Parkway when they leave Toyota Stadium and then should follow the signs to reach the Dallas North Tollway, Preston Road, SH 121 or US 380.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the area.
