    "Why are we drawn to nature? Why do we seek out the ocean, forests, or wildlife itself? Throughout history we have been trying to find a balance between creature comforts and experiencing the outdoors. It may be as simple as having a plant on your desk, or as extreme as climbing a mountain. Some may try to tame nature, study it, or just appreciate it. No matter how each of us pursues a connection to nature, it is undeniable that nature has been - and always will be – interwoven like a vine with our lives. This idea fascinates me, and is the inspiration for my 'Drawn to Nature' exhibition. By creating these images of nature - and bringing the outside world into an art gallery - I am exploring this connection to nature we all desire." -Amanda Hay About the artist: Amanda always dabbled in art.
