(July 29, 2014) The city has contracted with a cart manufacturer to assist with collection of any leftover CWD trash and recycling containers. The accelerated pickups will begin on Wednesday, July 30, and all old carts should be removed within 10-14 days.
City crews have been working in recent weeks to remove the old carts, after residents are provided with new Progressive containers. But for residents who still have the old carts, City of Frisco recommends leaving the containers at the curb until they are picked up.
The leftover cart removal is the final step in the transition process that involved ending a contract with trash and recycling service provider CWD and moving into a new service contract with Progressive.
The City of Frisco apologizes for the inconvenient delays in service and cart removal, and appreciates residents' understanding as crews work to get carts out of the way.
