Coit Road opening between Main & Eldorado on Monday, Dec. 23

(December 20, 2013) Coit Road will open to traffic between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway by Monday evening, December 23 (weather permitting). This project has replaced the previous two-lane asphalt road with a four-lane divided concrete roadway. When the road opens, only one lane will be open to traffic in each direction while work continues in the median. In addition, southbound traffic will be shifted to the east side of the median as it approaches Main Street so that north and southbound traffic will share the east half of the road at the intersection.

The intersections of Eldorado Parkway and Coit Road, and Main Street and Coit Road have operated as three-leg intersections while Coit Road has been closed. When the road reopens, north and southbound traffic will resume traveling through both intersections and all turning movements will again be possible. Motorists are urged to use caution at these intersections as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns and the different operation of the traffic signals.
