Community Workshop offers chance to plan Frisco's future through Comprehensive Plan

(May 16, 2014) Come to Saturday’s Community Workshop and share your ideas about how to make Frisco an even better place to live in the future. The workshop offers a unique opportunity for residents to play a role in helping the city update its Comprehensive Plan.

The workshop will take place at the Frisco Senior Center, 6670 Moore St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. Anyone who participates in either the morning or afternoon session will receive a voucher for two free tickets to an FC Dallas Major League Soccer home match at Toyota Stadium. Registration is encouraged.

The Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint for future growth, addressing a wide variety of issues, including development, public safety and water conservation. The workshop will use graphic displays and presentations to share preliminary findings with residents. Hands-on activities and structured discussion questions will enable participants to provide feedback and interact with their neighbors.

Residents are also encouraged to share their opinions about the Frisco of today and future years through a community discussion board or a short online survey.

Watch Mayor Maher Maso discussing this important project.
