(October 26, 2011) Frisco firefighters responded to a house fire during the noon hour today in the 600 block of Fall River. An off-duty Frisco battalion chief first reported the incident as a smoke investigation. When firefighters arrived the fire had extended to the attic area of the 3,400 square-foot home.
Fire units first fought the fire from inside, but then had to go back outside the home to attack the fire from the exterior using an aerial ladder truck.
The homeowner and two children were home at the time the fire started. They evacuated the house before firefighters arrived and no one was injured. The house sustained major fire and water damage. The Frisco Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
