OVERNIGHT FIRE MARKS FIFTH SUSPICIOUS FIRE IN NEIGHBOHOOD SINCE MAY; NO ONE HURT

(July 25, 2013) Frisco investigators say an overnight fire is suspicious.

Frisco firefighters were called to the scene at 3:35 a.m.  Crews arrived at a home in the 600 block of Burr Oak at 3:41 a.m.  The fire was put out by 3:44 a.m.

Investigators say the fire happened outside the home, near the back of the structure.   Residents were home at the time of the fire.

No one was hurt.  There is minor damage to the home.

This morning’s fire is the fifth suspicious fire in this neighborhood since May 20.  Two previous fires involved homes under construction. A third fire happened at a furnished home up ‘for sale’.  A fourth fire involved a vehicle.

The Frisco Fire Department is being assisted by the Frisco Police Department, the City of Denton and the State Fire Marshal’s Office in the investigation.
