(June 13, 2014) Community Waste Disposal (CWD) will provide another special Saturday service tomorrow, June 14, to pickup carts the company missed Friday. As a result, residents who have a designated ‘Friday trash day’ are advised to put their trash and recycling carts at the curb or alleyway tomorrow for pickup.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, (CWD) will operate at least eight collection trucks in neighborhoods regularly serviced on Fridays. The City of Frisco was alerted about missed carts late this afternoon.
In February, the Frisco City Council unanimously approved a contract with Progressive to service both recycling and trash services for the city. CWD service delays began in April when the company reported it was experiencing staffing shortages. Progressive will begin providing full service to the City of Frisco Aug. 1.
