(January 14, 2014) Frisco’s 5th Street, which is currently operating as a one-way street in the southbound direction between Main Street and Hickory Street, will be closed intermittently today and tomorrow (January 14 and 15) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
One block of 5th Street will be closed repeatedly for 15 minutes at a time while concrete is delivered. As the paving project progresses, the intermittent road closure will move to different blocks of 5th Street over the course of the two days.
Motorists should expect delays on 5th Street between Main Street and Hickory Street today and tomorrow between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Motorists driving to a location along 5th Street can use other downtown streets to drive around the closed block. Through traffic on 5th Street should use South County Road as an alternate route to avoid the delay.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone and to seek an alternate route in advance.
