(July 15,2014) Traffic is being switched today on Teel Parkway south of Lebanon Road so that southbound traffic transitions over and shares the east half of the road with northbound traffic. These traffic detours are necessary to allow city crews to repair the damaged pavement on the west half of the road. The traffic detours will be in place for one or two weeks depending on the extent of the damage and the time required to repair it.
This traffic switch takes place in the intersection of Teel and Lebanon, so southbound traffic on Teel Parkway wishing to continue straight through the intersection will need to be in the left-turn lane and follow the construction signs. Southbound traffic on Teel Parkway will switch back to the west side of the road at the intersection with Barkley Drive. As a result, Barkley Drive is closed at the intersection with Teel Parkway, and so residents of the Lakeside at Lone Star Ranch neighborhood will need to use Carraway Drive to enter and leave their neighborhood.
Southbound motorists on Teel Parkway should pay special attention to the temporary transitions from one side of the median to the other and travel through them slowly. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction zone.
