PLANNING DIVISION – The Planning Division is responsible for administering the standards of the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances to ensure new development and redevelopment are in compliance with City development standards and enhance the quality of life. Staff also provides support to the Planning & Zoning Commission. Long range planning services includes updates to the Comprehensive Plan, development monitoring, statistical analysis and forecasts.
BUILDING INSPECTIONS DIVISION – Reviews plans, issues permits, and provides code information for new building construction, sign permits, variances, remodels, alterations, pools, and fences.

CODE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION – Responds to concerns from citizens that affect the quality of life within the city such as overgrown lots or yards, inoperative vehicles, maintenance of structures, illegal signs and public nuisances.
HEALTH & FOOD SAFETY – Reviews plans and conducts inspections on health-related issues such as restaurants, schools, and pools; responds to concerns from citizens regarding public health concerns.
ANIMAL CONTROL – Responds to rabies control and animal related nuisance issues including stray pets and animal welfare violations.
