Professional Standards Complaints

There were four Professional Standards investigations during 2013, all of which were the result of internal complaints.  Throughout the year, police officers responded to 110,570 calls for service, and there were 2,601 arrests made.  Of those calls for service, only 184 of them were officer complaint call types. Given the high call load, the number of Professional Standards investigations is extremely low.

The low number of internal complaints demonstrates the professionalism that is displayed on a daily basis by the officers, dispatchers, detention officers and the entire staff of the Frisco Police Department.

Each of the four investigations involved operations division employees.  A conclusion of fact was made for each investigation.  Both the complainant and the involved personnel were notified of the disposition.  A summary of the 2013 Professional Standards complaints is below.
