We’re inviting everyone to join us for the City of Frisco’s annual Safety Palooza on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Baylor Medical Center of Frisco. Held in conjunction with the Baylor Health Fair, the party is a kickoff for one of the biggest events of the spring: Frisco Community Awareness Night (Frisco CAN), scheduled for May 17.
Safety Palooza is a great opportunity to get to know the men and women of Frisco’s police and fire departments. First responders will be on-hand to answer questions and show off many of the “tools of the trade” they employ in emergencies. See the police Motors Unit demonstrate their competitive motorcycle skills and peek inside a CareFlite helicopter.
Baylor Medical Center of Frisco will be offering free health screening and family activities.
Do you have a safety plan for your family? Dispatchers with the Frisco Police Department’s Communications Division will be providing useful information to get you started. Kids can practice their 911 emergency calls, and children’s fingerprint identification kits will be available at no cost. Even McGruff the Crime Dog, Sparkie and the Frisco Fire Department Clowns will join in the party.
Baylor is at 5601 Warren Parkway, between Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway.
