Plans & Permits

Self Service Permits

Customers now need to apply for residential permits (that do not require plan review) through the Self Service portal.  Examples of work include:

  • Replacing heating or cooling systems
  • Replacing roofs with the same material
  • Replacing windows, doors, or skylights
  • Water heaters
  • Small electrical or plumbing projects

All other Building Inspections permits shall be submitted through our temporary FTP Server.

  1. Submit plans in a single PDF file, not separate pages.
  2. Submit documents in a single PDF file, not as separate pages.
  3. Submit a copy of the permit application(s) in a PDF file.
  4. For revisions, send the complete set of revised plans in a single PDF file with permit number included.
  5. Label the PDFs  as follows:
    • Site Address_Type of Document
    • Do not include special characters (*&^%$#@!)
  6. Upload the documents to the FTP Server.

Deviation from these instructions may result in your permit being rejected or denied.

For single-family residential permits: once your application has been accepted, you will be contacted to make application fee payment online. This payment must be made before your permit will be reviewed.
