Frisco Firefighters Respond to Apartment Fire

(January 10, 2019) Frisco Dispatch was notified of an apartment fire at 7549 Stonebrook Pkwy at 4:31 a.m. A Frisco Police Department Patrol Officer and an apartment resident both notified Frisco Dispatch simultaneously. Frisco Fire Department was dispatched at 4:32 a.m. and the first fire units arrived on scene at 04:39 a.m. Patrol Officers that were on scene prior to Frisco Fire began notifying and evacuating residents.

When firefighters arrived, they found fire showing from the attic area of a 2-story apartment building. Firefighters began an aggressive offensive attack on the structure and the fire was declared “under control” at 05:03 a.m.

All occupants of the building were safely evacuated. The fire was contained to one apartment unit, and damage contained to four units. 12 residents were displaced by the fire. There were no injuries during the incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
